This year, the annual exhibition organized by Design and Creative Industry (DCI) students is making its return. Established in 2013 by UBD's creative students, the exhibition has been rebranded as 'Spectrum' to continue its esteemed tradition. This exhibition emphasizes the integration of various fields, such as art, design, media, innovation, technology, and business management, all of which are offered by the DCI program.
Featuring the work of 66 DCI students from the 2021 cohort, the fourth Spectrum exhibition is titled ‘Stellar’ and is set to open its doors in April 2025. Inspired by the concept of stellar bodies, this theme symbolizes the students' journey toward realizing their full creative potential. Their projects will exemplify artistic expression, innovative potential, and even scholarly research.
The Spectrum Stellar 2025 exhibition is carefully divided into three distinct sections, each presenting a unique narrative for visitors to explore. Begin your journey in Bruneian Culture and Heritage, where timeless traditions and local artistry come to life. Move on to Emotion and Memory, a section crafted to elicit profound feelings and personal connections through impactful storytelling. Conclude with the New Transformation Era, which highlights bold innovations and visionary concepts that redefine the future.
